The department is part of the Special Surgery Directorate. There is an ENT treatment room and patients day room. There is a new purpose built out-patient clinic area and this is very well equipped.

For Out-patients there are three senior audiometricians. The ENT Department has well equipped theatres with the use of two microscopes, an moderndrills and colour video attachments for the microscopes and an image guidance system for endoscopic computer-aided sinus surgery.

There are regular communications, children’s clinics and joint clinics with radiotherapists on a monthly basis.

Special hearing aid clinics are held at the Audiology department and are conducted by audiology technicians.

Minor operation sessions carried out include snoring treatments and will soon include balloon sinuplasty.

The Hearing Therapist also holds clinics at the James Paget University Hospital, with regular educational sessions on Friday lunchtimes.
