Infection Control

We take infection prevention and control extremely seriously here at the James Paget University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. We have a commitment to providing high quality patient care and will continue to monitor infections robustly and take any action necessary to protect our patients. We always remain on the highest level of alert. We are continuing to work closely with our colleagues in the community where C Diff and MRSA are also present.

The Board of Directors has a collective responsibility for minimising the risk of infection in line with the Health Act Hygiene Code. The latest Board Level Agreement was agreed by the Board of Directors on 25 May 2012 and can be found here

Care Quality Commission

NHS organisations that provide healthcare directly to patients must be registered with the Care Quality Commission. The Commission inspects trusts that provide healthcare, to assess whether they are meeting regulations on healthcare associated infections and following the supporting Code of Practice and related guidance.

The Trust was visited on 19th May 2009. To access the report please use this link.
