Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS)

Being in hospital or caring for someone who is having treatment can be difficult, confusing and stressful. PALS can find the correct route to help.

Contacting PALS

From outside the hospital:

The direct dial telephone number from outside the Trust is 01493 453240.

The Fax number is 01493 453086.

Email at PALS@jpaget.nhs.uk

From inside the hospital:

If you are in the main foyer, the yellow telephone which is on display is to contact PALS. Pick up the phone and press the button. You will automatically be connected to one of our duty officers. There is no charge for using this phone.

The PALS internal extension number is 3240.

If you can't get through on this number, a PALS duty officer is on-call between the hours of 8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday.  The main hospital telephone number can be called on 01493 452452 and the PALS duty officer bleeped on 1848 between these times if urgent.  At all other times there is an answer phone and your call will be returned.
