The bone bank at the James Paget University Hospital has passed a rigorous quality assurance inspection by the Human Tissue Authority.
The bank is used to store orthopaedic tissue for use in operations to repair hips. The bones stored are femoral heads that are donated by patients who have total hip replacements.
