Next steps

Before we can start building on our hospital site, the Trust will go through several cycles of detailed planning, working closely with the Department of Health and Social Care, NHS England & NHS Improvement, the Norfolk and Waveney Integrated Health and Care System, and our staff, patients, communities and local stakeholders.

This is a long term process to ensure our estates are able to support the delivery of high quality care for our local populations both now and in the future, and meets the needs of our clinical teams, healthcare professionals and workforce.

We have developed our Strategic Outline Case for the James Paget’s New Hospital. This is a detailed document that outlines our thinking at this stage about the project, and will be submitted to the Department of Health and Social Care for review and approval.
