Experience:

I graduated from Medical School in 1995 and have been working for the NHS in Obstetrics and Gynaecology since 1999.

I completed my higher specialist training programme in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (CCT) at Wessex Deanery in 2007 after working in London, Harlow, Dorchester, Isle of Wight, Bath and Jersey.

Over the past 15 years I worked for more than ten different NHS trusts which gave me a wide range of exposure and extensive training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Following my CCT I did a three year clinical fellowship in advanced infertility treatment and IVF at Manchester Fertility Services and at IVF Wales.

In September 2010 I was appointed as a consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist  with special interest in Infertility at James Paget University Hospital. During my clinical fellowships in reproductive medicine I gained comprehensive clinical experience in all aspects of the management of subfertility and assisted conception techniques. Additionally I am very experienced in gynaecological scanning and both hysteroscopy and laparoscopic surgery and have also extensive experience in the management of pelvic pain and menstrual disorders.

I am accredited by the British Fertility Society (BFS) as a trainer for the advanced special skills training modules in the Management of the Infertile Couple and Pelvic Ultrasound. I have been certified at RCOG level 2 (intermediate) in laparoscopic surgery and the use of ultrasound in managing gynaecological conditions since 2006 and I have achieved full competence in laparoscopic management of ectopic pregnancy, pelvic adhesiolysis, treatment of endometriosis, ovarian cystectomy and oophorectomy.
