I graduated from Dow Medical College, University of Karachi in Pakistan. I received initial training in General Medicine in Karachi. I came to UK in 1992 and received initial training in London and Manchester before moving to Norfolk. I received my specialist training in Ipswich, Bedford and Norwich & Norwich University Hospital. I took up the post of consultant at JPUH in January 2009 and has been working here ever since.
