Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon at James Paget University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Honorary Professor of Surgery.
UK and International trainer for Consultants and Surgical Trainees on Oncoplastic surgery and breast reconstruction for many years and a teacher in the Department of Education at the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Convenor and Trainer for Surgical masterclasses in breast surgery worldwide.
Lead surgeon, instrumental in developing and delivering the UK National Mastectomy and Breast Reconstruction Audit Programme. This is the first national study in the world looking at outcomes of breast cancer surgery, leading to the publication of “Best practice national guidelines for Oncoplastic breast surgery” (2012).
Course Director for award winning Masters in Oncoplastic Breast Surgery (2011 – 2018), University of East Anglia, the highest specialist qualification in the UK for breast surgery.
Programme Director for multiple Specialist e-Learning Mastership Programmes at the University of East Anglia, Norwich:- MS Oncoplastic Breast Surgery, MCh Breast Oncoplasty, MCh Coloproctology, MSc Regional Anaesthesia, and Post-graduate Diplomas in Aesthetic Breast Surgery and Onco Aesthetic Surgery of the Breast, currently recruiting candidates from over 30 countries. MCh Breast Oncoplasty has been widely adopted in India and the South East Asian countries.
Programme Director for multiple blended learning courses in nursing, midwifery and specialist nursing, for programmes commissioned by Norfolk & Waveney Healthcare Partnership.
