Prejuvenate LogoPrejuvenate study: optimising breast cancer surgery outcomes in women aged 65 years and over

This study is aimed at older women who have been diagnosed with operable breast cancer. Several UK reports have shown that women in this age group may not be offered surgery due to other health conditions or lack of awareness of surgery treatments by the women themselves.

This study aims to offer older women the chance to assess their lifestyle and general health with a doctor early after diagnosis, so they can make positive changes prior to their surgery to improve their surgical and psychological outcomes.
