There are a range of support organisations for you if you are living with or beyond a cancer diagnosis. Please see the national charities link for more details of the range of organisations who may be able to help with everything from the emotional impact to the financial implications of a cancer diagnosis.
There are also many local organisations who are here to help. They provide things such as local support groups and networks, ways for you to relax and feel better, as well as activities where you can meet others who may be going through something similar.
World Cancer Day
Thank you to everyone who came along to our World Cancer Day event at the Louise Hamilton Centre on Tuesday 4 February. A number of organisations joined us for the day including Macmillan Cancer Support, Cancer Research UK, Big C, Healthwatch Norfolk, Can-cervive, BRAs, and It’s on the Ball, and there were free relaxation taster sessions and refreshments.
The event gave an opportunity to see what cancer support is available locally and how to access it, as part of the global day to raise awareness of cancer and to encourage prevention, detection and successful treatment.
