Cardiac nurses

Our cardiac nurse specialists work with cardiac patients whichever ward they are on while they are in the hospital.

The team is made up of Acute Cardiac Nurse Specialists and Heart Failure Nurse Specialists, and administrative staff, who work with patients during their stay at the James Paget.

While Ward 2 is our specialist cardiology ward, patients may be admitted to any of our wards and will then be visited as appropriate by one of the team.

They provide nurse-led Rapid Access Chest Pain clinics, and support clinician-led clinics, providing care and advice to patients with heart conditions.
