What to do when you find out you are pregnant
First of all you will need to notify your GP that you are pregnant.
Book your first appointment (your booking appointment)
If you would like to have your baby at the James Paget University Hospital, you will meet with a community midwife to book your pregnancy.
We advise you to contact the community midwifery team as soon as you have missed a period and had a positive pregnancy test. You will have your first midwife appointment between 8 to 10 weeks of pregnancy.
