We have 10 theatres on site which cater for elective and emergency surgery.

Planned surgery normally takes place Monday through to Friday and occasionally on Saturdays.  However our Emergency Theatre is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Day Case Theatre Unit

Our day care theatre unit means;

  • Patients receive treatment that is suited to their needs and which allows them to recover in their own home
  • There is reduced demand for beds = reduced likelihood of cancellations = improved patient experience
  • Additional capacity through more efficient working
