More patients take part in research

The National Institute of Health Research has just published the research figures for 2017/18 and the James Paget University Hospital has registered a 45% increase in participant recruitment and an 18% increase in participants recruited to commercially funded studies. 

Karen Eade Head of Research at JPUH says; “This is a testament to the hard work and commitment shown by our research team.  It is important patients get a chance to take part in research studies and programmes."

Over 725,333 participants have been involved in research through the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Clinical Research Networks (CRNs) 2017/18.
