JPUH Research Programme

JPUH Research Programme

The purpose of the Research Programme is to provide the James Paget University Hospitals Research and Development Team with a standardised education programme, underpinned by quality assurance in order to meet the requirements of the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA). The programme is designed to complement Good Clinical Practice (GCP) training.

Core educational sessions for all researchers cover the following topics:

  • Source Documentation
  • Site file creation and maintenance
  • Safety Reporting
  • Preparation for monitoring visits.

The above sessions are facilitated by experience members of the core research team and run monthly.

Examples of additional research training sessions which can be provided are:

  • Informed consent for research for incapacitated participants
  • Informed consent for research for paediatric participants
  • Laboratory skills for research
  • What is the Integrated Research Application Systems (IRAS)? And how to complete Site Specific Information (SSI) forms?

Who is the programme for?

All clinical and non-clinical researchers,new or experienced, who are working within the James Paget University Hospital.
