James Paget University Hospital Charitable Fund

(Registered charity number 1050406)

We have a Charitable Fund which we use to do that little bit more to make the care of our patients and the lives of our staff in the hospital that much better.  We use the Charitable Fund after all our NHS spending is committed to provide the very best care for our patients.

Our charity now has it's own website where you can find out more about how to fundraise or make a donation:  https://www.jpaget-charity.org.uk/

By supporting the Fund you can help us to enhance care for all our patients in the future.  Any amount, large or small, will be gratefully received and put to excellent use.

The Charity manages donations and legacies given to the Trust by patients, visitors and staff.  These donations support the best possible care for our patients and training for staff in the latest practices and life-saving research.  Examples of how donations have been used include:

  • Purchase of specialist ophthalmic equipment
  • Refurbishment of the Sandra Chapman Centre
  • Refurbishment of the audiology department to provide a dedicated children’s treatment room.

You can donate to a number of specific funds, or leave a legacy, to help the team or department that has supported you - for example the Breast Unit team have the Mammography Fund for purchasing equipment and training within the Breast Care Unit and wider team, the Breast Reconstruction Fund for purchasing specialist surgical equipment to support the breast service, and the Breast Cancer Services fund for Education and Training of the Breast and wider team.
