The James Paget University Hospital’s Dementia Care Lead has taken part in the Bear Grylls Survival Challenge – and completed a course double the length she had originally planned.
Ali Thayne took part in the Challenge at the weekend to raise money for Alzheimer’s Research UK and, after only intending to do the 5k version, ended up completing the 10k Challenge.
Ali says; “The event involved making a fire, shooting, negotiating scramble nets and eating bugs to name just a few of the challenges – but it was great fun and there was a great team spirit.”
