Bishop visits hospital

18 October 2017

The Bishop of Lynn, the Right Reverend Jonathan Meyrick, visited the James Paget University Hospital yesterday, Tuesday 17 October, as part of a pilgrimage to the Great Yarmouth area.

The prayer pilgrimage is part of an initiative among Church of England parishes in Norfolk and Waveney which sees one of the three bishops in the region spend a day in each local area.

Bishop Jonathan spent much of yesterday visiting venues across the borough and he arrived at the James Paget around 5pm to visit wards and to hold a service in the hospital chapel.

After meeting staff including Director of Nursing Julia Hunt, Deputy Director of Nursing Jacky Copping and Lead Nurse Jan McKirdy (all pictured with the Bishop), he continued on his journey to the Coastwatch station at Gorleston Pier.
