The James Paget University Hospital has been shortlisted for another prestigious award, this time for supporting students into nursing placements.
The Student Nursing Times Awards 2018 have shortlisted the James Paget in the ‘Student Placement of the Year: Hospital’ category for our entry ‘Supporting students in placements: the foundations to success’.
Sharon Crowle, Head of Education and Practice Development, said; “This is the second year running that the James Paget has been shortlisted in these awards and we are delighted to have our efforts recognised at a national level. We will now be preparing our presentation to the judging panel incorporating current initiatives and our plans moving forward.”
Returning for the seventh year, the Student Nursing Times Awards aims to celebrate student nurses and nurse education, and attracts entries from across the UK.
Sharon will now head to London in mid-March to give a presentation to the judging panel about the hospital’s existing work, plans and ethos in bringing students through training, supporting them into the workplace and offering career development.
The winners will then be announced at the awards ceremony at the London Hilton on Park Lane on Thursday 26 April.
