The James Paget Safeguarding Team work closely with partner agencies to help adults who are at-risk, who may need additional help to stay safe.

Adults at-risk can include people with disabilities, older people, those with mental health problems, those with long-term health problems and those who misuse drugs or alcohol.  Individuals can be vulnerable to abuse from those who know them – in some cases family or people they consider to be friends  - and strangers, and the abuse could take several forms. These could include physical, emotional or sexual abuse, financial abuse, neglect, discrimination, domestic abuse and modern slavery.

There will be a range of materials available in Aubergine with guidance around recognising the signs of abuse and where to report it.
