Parents visiting our Children’s Ward will now have a comfortable place to sit to watch their children play after a generous donation from Robert Parker, his wife, and his work colleagues.
Robert raised money through raffles, generously providing the ward with a cheque for £400 towards a sofa for the playroom. This means parents now have a place to sit while their children are using the toys in the room, which brightens up a hospital stay for hundreds of young people every month.
Ward 10 Play Assistant Catherine Preston, who received the cheque, said; “Robert wanted to put money towards something we needed, as he wanted to give something back to the hospital, and we’d like to thank him and everyone involved for their generosity.”
