Sage & Thyme workshops help our staff gain skills to be able talk to anyone who is worried or distressed - and now we’re also offering this training to other local organisations.
The three-hour workshop is for health and care professionals to enhance communication, to hear concerns and to provide a listening ear, with the aim of strengthening skills to provide support in times of need.
Listening and responding to concerns are fundamental to all roles within the NHS and we are committed to supporting individuals to develop their knowledge to enable them to have compassionate conversations with patients, families, carers and colleagues.
The course aims to build the confidence of individuals to respond effectively when having difficult conversations, and the workshop is now being made available to health and care organisations – including staff at doctors surgeries and in care homes – for a small fee per delegate.
If the organisation you work for might be interested in finding out more about this accredited course please email EducationTraining@jpaget.nhs.uk for details and available training dates in 2019.
