After a number of high profile guests attended our Education Conference yesterday, today we’ve welcomed another distinguished visitor - Sue Webb, the President of the Society and College of Radiographers.
The informal visit saw Sue tour our Radiology department, including our X-Ray, ultrasound, CT/MR scanning and breast imaging sections, and talk to staff including Radiographers and students, saying how impressed she was with the great kit the department has and how friendly team is.
Dorothy Wheatman, our Lead Radiographer for Diagnostic Imaging, who showed Sue around said; “It was good to have the opportunity to talk to her about the issues facing imaging departments, and she was pleased that we strongly support extended roles within the profession.”
Sue, a CT radiographer since 1992, is also highlighting career opportunities available in radiology – you can find out more at www.healthcareers.nhs.uk/explore-roles/allied-health-professionals/roles-allied-health-professions and if you’d like to join our team you can view current roles available at the James Paget by visiting www.jpaget.nhs.uk/work-for-us/ and clicking the ‘Vacancies’ and ‘Allied Health Professions’ links.
