Colorectal team away afternoon

25 November 2019

Our colorectal team - including surgeons, gastroenterologists, oncologist, histopathologists, radiologist, nurses, cancer services, management and administration staff - all recently attended an away day at the Royal Assembly Rooms in Great Yarmouth.

Colorectal Team Away Day 1

Each year our specialist team take an afternoon out, away from our hospital, to reflect on the work of the team over the year and to discuss the way forward.

This is a valuable team building day and gives staff across the department - clinical and non-clinical - the opportunity to get together out of the busy hospital environment, into a more relaxed but still professional and work focussed setting to review what has happened over the year, to discuss what can be done to enhance and move the service forward and to highlight what improvements can be made.

The team, pictured here, discussed a varied agenda, from our local policies to showcasing our work and are working on plans for the service in 2020.
