An amazing painting, created and donated by a patient before her death, has been handed over to our Ward 15 team.
The Ward was providing end of life care for Margaret Walters when she told the team that she wanted to leave them a painting as a gift to say thank you.
Margaret, a talented artist, had shared her love of painting with the team and said she wished to show her gratitude through the donation.
Recently, following Margaret’s death, her daughter and her partner Graham Baker visited the ward to hand over the painting – a stunning rose, which has been positioned in their staff room to brighten it up and inspire the team.
Ward 15 Senior Sister Amanda Wild said they were delighted with the gift.
“It is a great picture and everyone comments on how lovely it is. Margaret will be remembered for her generosity and her talent and we are grateful to her family for bringing this in for us.”
