James Paget Health Care Assistant Isabelle Brown has raised an amazing £1,400 for several wards at our hospital by pledging to do a skydive when lockdown regulations are lifted.
Isabelle, who is currently undertaking a Nursing Foundation Degree Apprenticeship and working as an HCA on Ward 4, decided to help raise money for some of the key areas of the hospital supporting COVID-19 patients.
She said; "I decided to do this because I thought that people - patients and staff - going into these areas daily are facing very difficult situations.
"I am scared of heights but I wanted to raise the money so they can purchase anything that would make their daily life easier.
"The skydive is provisionally booked for June, if lockdown regulations lift, but people supporting me have been generous, and this has allowed me to donate £1,400 to be split between Ward 16, the Intensive Care Unit and the yellow A&E/AMBU."
