Baby loss awareness week

09 October 2020

Baby Loss Awareness

October 9-15 2020 is the 18th Baby Loss Awareness Week in the UK and at the James Paget we will be marking the occasion in our Chapel with a Tree of Remembrance.

Sadly, in this unusual year, because of the COVID-19 restrictions we will not be able to welcome families and friends into the hospital to join with us, but that does not mean you are not in our thoughts if you have experienced the sadness and pain of the loss of a little one.

For many, the effects of social distancing and isolating has made the experience of pregnancy and baby loss even more complicated and distressing this year.  We are very aware of how lonely and isolated some have felt. So, more than ever, we need to all do our part to support those affected by baby loss and ensure they do not feel alone.

If you would like us to tie a ribbon on the Tree in remembrance of your baby, you can call our Chaplaincy, via the switchboard on 01493 452452,  and we will do this for you. If no-one is available to speak to you, please leave a message. For more information, visit www.babyloss-awareness.org
