This week we’re made some more resources available via our website on Hypnobirth to help those preparing to give birth, and now we’re delighted to able to launch some new videos to help mums after they have given birth.
Our pelvic health physiotherapy team have been working on a series of new videos, covering subjects including pelvic floor exercises, recovering after a C-Section delivery and returning to exercise after birth, and they are now available to view on our website.
The team work with both men and women with pelvic health conditions and, on the postnatal Ward 11, aim to see mums after delivery for pelvic floor and abdominal exercise, and recovery advice.
They recently undertook a survey with new mums and identified that over 50% would like to receive their postnatal recovery advice and exercises via video. From this they devised the new films to support the postnatal recovery journey, so mums can access the resources easily online from the comfort of their own home or wherever suits them.
Covid-19 restrictions have meant that many of our services have had to adapt and the increase in information online is designed to support our patients.
New mums on our maternity unit will now be signposted to the resources but if you would like to take a look, or if you know someone who may find them useful, please click here.
We are also asking new mums who view the one or more of the videos to let us have their feedback via a Survey Monkey link on the web page.
