If you need medical assistance this weekend and it’s urgent but not an emergency please could we ask that you dial 111 – or go to the NHS 111 website - before attending our A&E.
Easter is traditionally a busy weekend for our emergency department and, with increasing attendances, we’re asking that you help our team, and reduce the time you may have to wait, by calling 111 or going online before coming into A&E unless it is a life-threatening emergency, when you should dial 999.
The NHS 111 service are able to allocate timed slots to patients to support social distancing within our emergency department to help us protect the safety of patients and our staff.
Please help us to help you and call 111 or visit NHS 111 online first.
