New Eastern Pathology Alliance website

15 December 2021

The Eastern Pathology Alliance – the network which provides Clinical Biochemistry, Immunology, Haematology, Blood Transfusion, Andrology and Microbiology services to hospitals, GPs and other care providers across Norfolk and Waveney – has recently launched a new website; https://www.easternpathologyalliance.nhs.uk/

Eastern Pathology Alliance home page image - this says 'welcome to the Eastern Pathology Alliance' in white text on a blue background and includes an image of the tops of lots of test tubes in a rack. A pipette with a magenta coloured liquid is held above one of the tubes.

Pathology is involved in over 70% of all diagnoses made in the NHS and the laboratory teams at the James Paget, the Norfolk and Norwich and the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Kings Lynn, and on Norwich Research Park, are all part of the Alliance, which was created in 2014 and was one of the first pathology networks in the UK.

The new website includes lots of information for both members of the public and health care professionals, including up-to-date Information about departments and more details about careers in Biomedical Science.

One of the big features of the new site is a search function for test information, giving details such as test specific reference ranges, tube type and turnaround times. There is also information about training within the EPA.

The website aims to improve communication with users, giving them simple and open access to information about the Alliance and the services it provides. Any comments or suggestions about the new website can be emailed to; LaboratoryQuality@nnuh.nhs.uk
