Arts committee member recognised for long service

29 July 2021

Five people - three women and two men - including arts committee representatives and Dennis Cave and his wife stand in a garden. It's sunny and one of the men - Dennis - holds a certifcate.

A long-standing member of the James Paget University Hospitals’ Arts Committee has been recognised for his support after making the decision to step down from the Committee this year.

Dennis Cave, a local retired school teacher, has supported the Trust’s Art Committee for many years, helping with the Committee’s work in establishing the art work that adorns many of the walls and buildings around the hospital, as well as running annual art fairs and events.

Ian Walker, Chair of the Arts Committee, presented Dennis with gifts of thanks on behalf of the Committee, as well as a certificate signed by James Paget Chief Executive Anna Hills, recognising his long service in supporting arts at the Trust.

Ian said: “Dennis has been a great support and friend of the arts at the James Paget for many years, and we truly value his contribution to the Committee, on behalf of staff, patients and the local artistic community.”
