Council of Governors Elections 2021

28 June 2021

***Please note, nominations for this election are now closed***

We’re looking for new Governors for our hospital and, if you’re aged 16 or over and might be interested in finding out more we would like to invite you to an information event being held on Microsoft Teams on Tuesday 29 June.

To join the virtual event please email susan.stebbings@jpaget.nhs.uk and you will be sent a link so you can join the session between 7pm and 8pm tomorrow which will feature Trust Chair Anna Davidson, Trust Secretary Ann Filby and members of our current Council. You’ll be able to hear more about what being a Governor involves and will be able to ask questions if you wish.

During the event our independent election provider Civica will also be available if you want to ask them about how the election works. They can also guide you in preparing your nomination.

You can nominate yourself for election up until 5pm on Wednesday 7 July.

Those who are successful will serve a three year term of office from 1 September.

Together with our Staff Governors and Appointed Governors from local organisations, you would work closely with our Board of Directors to make sure we are doing the right thing for our patients.

14 June

We’ve just opened nominations for our 2021 Council of Governors Elections and, if you might be interested in joining us as a Governor, we’d urge you to visit; www.cesvotes.com/jamespaget2021

Governors help make the Paget what it is – a vibrant hospital, meeting the needs of the communities it serves with high quality healthcare.

We need representatives from our staff and our local community to join our Council of Governors.

Anyone over the age of 16 can apply and we welcome people from a diverse range of cultural backgrounds and experiences to take part and represent their local area.

Being a Governor is a great way to dedicate your time to support the hospital and the development of care across Norfolk and Waveney, and helps give a voice to patients and local people in how services are run.

From today, Monday 14 June, until 5pm on Wednesday 7 July you can nominate yourself for election.

Those who are successful will serve a three year term of office from 1 September.

Together with our Staff Governors and Appointed Governors from local organisations, you would work closely with our Board of Directors to make sure we are doing the right thing for our patients.

You can find out more information about the role and how to nominate yourself here; www.cesvotes.com/jamespaget2021
