Please can we remind you that, although Covid-19 restrictions have been relaxed in the community, we are keeping our existing one-way systems and visiting arrangements in place at this time.
While visiting arrangements across different departments in our hospital are constantly kept under review, at this time, as Covid-19 cases increase in our local communities, we will be continuing to take measure to protect our patients and our staff.
Please be aware that;
All precautions at maternity ultrasound scans are remaining the same due to needing to maintain social distancing. All patients and partners will need to wear a mask. Please note children are not permitted to attend the scan or antenatal appointments.
Our current visiting arrangements mean that a patient can receive one visitor per day, for a maximum of an hour – and have two named visitors in a seven-day period.
If you are booking a slot to visit a patient in the hospital, please remember that you can only visit patients who have been in the hospital for more than 24 hours.
Visiting slots can be booked by ringing 01493 452324 between 9am and 3pm, seven days a week. Alternatively, Monday to Friday, you can ring 07435 554841 if you have difficulty getting through on the landline number.
Our call handlers remain very busy, particularly in the first few hours of each day. So, if you require a same day late appointment, we would advise you ring after 11.30am.
We’re continuing to ask anyone attending our hospital to wear a surgical mask, as a matter of courtesy to our patients, other visitors and our staff, if you can.
If you do not have a surgical mask you will be offered one at reception and encouraged to wear this unless you have a medical exemption.
We would ask that you please respect our staff and other visitors, and the measures that we are taking for patient safety – and thank you for your consideration.
If there are further updates to this they will be placed on our Coronavirus/ Covid-19 information page here.
