A cheque for over £1,000 has been handed over to our Neonatal Unit following a ladies night event organised by the Lodge of Friendship No 100 in Great Yarmouth earlier this year.
The night for Cindy Heller saw £1,060 raised through raffles and donations and Cindy and her husband Russell decided to donate the funds to our Neonatal Unit, as the unit is close to their heart. The team had looked after their granddaughter and Cindy had also previously been looked after by the team too.
On Thursday Cindy, Russell and John Capon, Charity Steward of the Lodge of Friendship No 100, visited our hospital to hand over the funds to charity co-ordinator Maxine Taylor and Janet from our Neonatal team.
Maxine said; “We’d like to thank everyone involved in raising these funds and particularly thank Cindy and Russell for generously thinking of the Unit. The funds will be used to support our youngest patients and their families so we are also very grateful on their behalf.”
