Please can we remind you that children should not attend antenatal scans at our hospital.
Our team have recently seen a number of patients who have brought children with them when attending ultrasound scans and, while we appreciate that pregnancy is an exciting time for you and your family, or that it may sometimes be difficult to arrange childcare, we would like to remind you that antenatal scans are important clinical investigations and require the Ultrasonographer’s full concentration.
Because of this we ask that only one adult at a time accompanies you into the scan room.
If you attend with children you may have to have your scan rescheduled.
