Accessible Covid Vaccination Clinic

18 November 2022

Our Accessible Covid-19 Vaccination Clinic - set up to support people with learning disabilities and autism to get their Covid vaccinations - will be running several sessions in the next few weeks and if you or someone you know would like to make a booking you’re invited to get in touch.

Accessible Covid Vaccination Clinic - three people, our vaccinator in dark clothing, a man in a wheelchair wearing grey clothing and an older woman in a floral pattern top, sit in our accessible vaccination clinic.

The accessible clinics, held at the Louise Hamilton Centre on our hospital site, are tailored to meet the individual needs of anyone who might find it difficult to attend a standard vaccination centre - including those with needle phobias, learning disabilities or autism - by providing a more relaxed environment and support.

The clinic provides sessions that are responsive to the individual needs of the person getting the vaccine, with staff previously giving vaccinations to people while they are in a vehicle or bringing them into a play-focused or quieter area to make this as friendly and easy as possible.

If you would like to make a booking for one of these specialist clinics please call 01493 453930 or email covid.vaccine@jpaget.nhs.uk
