Our team will be at the Kirkley Mill Health Centre in south Lowestoft on Sunday 13 and Tuesday 15 November providing Covid booster vaccinations for those eligible and, on Tuesday, if you are a Suffolk resident, you will be offered the opportunity to get a free health check too, if you would like this.
Our vaccination team were at Kirkley Mill, on Clifton Road, for several days last week and, in addition to providing Covid vaccines for those eligible, the team worked in partnership with OneLife Suffolk to offer free health checks on one of the days. A number of people took advantage of the opportunity to have the free check and anyone attending on Tuesday 15 who is eligible will be offered a check too.
This is just one of the outreach initiatives our team are working on, and they are also able to help with referrals to smoking cessation, physical activity and weight loss programmes.
Ideally to secure a vaccination appointment you should use the National Booking Service; https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/coronavirus-vaccination/book-coronavirus-vaccination/ or you can dial 119 to book.
The clinics at Kirkley Mill are part of ongoing work to make Covid vaccination accessible to anyone living locally who would like to get the vaccine.
