Lung Cancer Awareness Month

24 November 2022

Lung Cancer Awareness Month - Three women - two specialist nurses in their navy blue uniform and a matron in a black uniform - stand either side of a stand for Lung Cancer Awareness Month. A variety of leaflets and information are attached to a display board and on a table behind them.

Our specialist lung cancer nurses have had a stall outside our chapel today to highlight Lung Cancer Awareness Month.

The team have been talking to staff and visitors at the hospital and sharing information, encouraging anyone displaying common symptoms of lung cancer including persistent cough, breathlessness or unexplained weight loss to visit their GP.

Lung cancer is the third most common cancer in the UK. You can find out more via the national NHS website here; https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/lung-cancer/ and on the Macmillan Cancer Support website here; https://www.macmillan.org.uk/cancer-awareness/lung-cancer-awareness-month-2022
