You’re invited to attend a ‘Spotlight on Health and Wellbeing’ event being held on Saturday, 24 September, at the Burrage Centre, at the back of the James Paget site in Gorleston, which is open to all.
Our hospital team are working in partnership with Great Yarmouth Borough Council, East Suffolk Council and Macmillan Cancer Support to stage the day, between 12noon and 4pm, which will feature more than 30 stalls sharing information about health and wellbeing.
The event will be highlighting a diverse range of services, activities and support in the area to enhance health and wellbeing, with a host of groups and charities taking part.
Representatives from voluntary, charitable and statutory health and social care organisations will be at the event with stalls with information, demonstrations and activities, and there will be a raffle, with prizes include a signed Norwich city football shirt, family crazy golf tickets plus many more donated prizes from local businesses. There will be appearances from the James Paget University Hospital Choir and the Therapy dogs, and Great Yarmouth’s Mayor will also be attending and supporting the event.
Free parking is available on the James Paget site in car park G, at the side of the Burrage Centre, and light refreshments will be provided.
The event follows a successful similar day in Lowestoft in April which was described by those who attended as a ‘Fabulous, well organised, lovely event’.
