The Royal College of Nursing (RCN) has confirmed that industrial action, in the form of strike action, is scheduled to take place on Wednesday 18 and Thursday 19 January 2023.
James Paget University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust did not reach the threshold for action on these dates, and RCN members will not be striking at this location.
Our Trust will continue to operate as usual on 18 and 19 January. It remains imperative that any members of the public that need care continue to come forward and attend their appointments across these days, especially in emergency and life-saving cases.
Industrial action will take place on 18 and 19 January 2023 at:
- Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
- East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust
- Norfolk Community Health and Care NHS Trust
- Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust
- West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust
- NHS Mid and South Essex ICB
- NHS Norfolk and Waveney ICB
- NHS Suffolk and North East Essex ICB
Industrial action at this scale and pace across the NHS is unprecedented, however, we are working with partners across the Norfolk and Waveney Integrated Care System to ensure there is minimal disruption to patient care and that emergency services can continue to operate as normal.
