Meet Bertie

18 January 2023

A photo of Bertie, our new PAT dog, who is wearing a yellow Pets As Therapy coat. Bertie is small and dark grey colour with brown eyes and long ears hanging down alongside his face. He has a blue collar and lead on and looks straight into the camera. The photo has been taken from floor level, at a similar height to Bertie.

Meet Bertie!

Bertie is our new Pets As Therapy (PAT) dog and he’s already been delighting patients and staff at our hospital after he started his visits earlier this month.

Bertie, and his owner Rosemary, will be regularly visiting our hospital on Mondays and he will visit various wards while he is here.

On Monday, 16 January, Bertie and Rosemary visited patients on Wards 4, 5, 6 and 12 and were told by one patient that it had 'made her day'.

Bertie and his owner Rosemary stand in our hospital foyer. Bertie wears his yellow PAT dog jacket and Rosemary wears jeans, a white long-sleeve top with a light yellow Pets As Therapy T-shirt over the top.  A side view of Bertie, wearing his yellow PAT dog jacket, as he looks off camera.
