We’re looking for volunteers to support our hospital Armed Forces Advocate and, if you or someone you know might be interested, we’re inviting you to get in touch.
Chris Blyth joined our Trust last year to provide support for armed service personnel – whether they are veterans or currently serving, our patients or our staff, or those thinking of joining our team.
Since then he has increased the support we offer, providing all kinds of assistance to veterans - from events and a guaranteed interview scheme to signposting to charities and organisations who can provide financial and social assistance.
Now he would like to encourage anyone who may have served in the Armed Forces to get in touch if they would like to support other veterans through volunteering at the hospital, to carry out patient visiting, to help veterans get the support they are entitled to, or to provide a friendly face for a chat.
