Volunteers Week

01 June 2023

Volunteers Week 2023 composite image. This is made up of eight separate photographs of hospital volunteers, with the words 'Volunteers Week' partially over some of the photos but not obscuring their faces. The top row is two photos - one a head and shoulders pic of a woman wearing a blue face mask. a red volunteers top and red fleece, the other of two young men wearing red volunteer tops, both have short dark hair and wear glasses. The middle row has three photos, left to right, a man wearing a grey jumper over a blue top, a woman wearing a purple polo shirt and an older lady in a grey top. All three wear lanyards - the man and first woman blue NHS ones and the older lady a rainbow coloured one. All three of these photos have been taken outside our hospital. The bottom row features a man wearing a red volunteers to with a black jacket and fluorescent waistcoat over this, pictured in a hospital corridor with doors behind him, a woman in a cream coloured top pictured outside the hospital building, and a man in a red volunteers top who stands in a cream coloured corridor.

Today marks the start of Volunteers Week! We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our amazing volunteers who give their time so freely.

Between them our volunteers have provided 11,250 hours of support in 2022 to our staff and patients.

Throughout the week we will be highlighting some our amazing volunteers from a wide range of clinical and non-clinical departments and hear from them about what it’s like to be a volunteer at the James Paget.
