Face Masks

31 March 2023

The James Paget is relaxing face mask guidance for staff, patients and visitors.

From Monday (3 April), visitors will no longer have to wear a face mask anywhere on the hospital premises, including our ward areas.

In certain circumstances, our staff will continue to wear masks, such as when they are caring for patients who have a confirmed or suspected infectious respiratory illness and when caring for those who require protective isolation.

We would ask that all visitors continue to practice good hand hygiene by washing their hands on arrival at the hospital.

Please note that masks will still be available at the hospital for anyone who would like to wear one.

Visitors should not come to the hospital if they have Covid-19 or other respiratory infection symptoms and should not visit if they have Norovirus symptoms.

These changes are being introduced at the same time across all three acute hospitals in Norfolk.
