Hand sanitiser stands donated

24 April 2024

Helga, our Head of Infection Prevention and Control, and Tanya from Equinor UK stand in front of the Hand Decontamination Area in our main reception holding two of the hand sanitiser stands and a black folder each. Visible behind them are two sinks and two bins where those visiting our hospital are encouraged to wash their hands before entering.

Hand sanitiser stands and a quantity of new ring binder files have been kindly donated to the James Paget by the Great Yarmouth branch of energy provider Equinor UK Ltd.

Equinor have a key role in energy security in the UK. Over the past 40 years they have supplied oil and gas and they are now at the forefront of wind power innovation, currently developing the world’s largest offshore wind farm, Dogger Bank.  By 2030, seven million British homes are expected to be powered by electricity from Equinor’s UK offshore wind farms.

The Great Yarmouth office, based at South Denes, is where Equinor carry out the operations and maintenance of the Sheringham Shoal and Dudgeon wind farms.

The company contacted the James Paget recently to offer the hand sanitiser stands if they would be of use and our Infection Prevention And Control team were delighted to accept.

Last Wednesday Tanya Stedman, Administrative Coordinator for Equinor, visited to drop off the stands and also brought an extra bonus – a large number of ring binder files, which have already found good homes with various teams in the hospital.

The stands were received by James Paget Head of Infection Prevention and Control Nurse Helga Foyster, who said; “We’d like to thank Tanya and the team at Equinor UK for thinking of our hospital. These stands will come in useful and we’re very grateful for this donation.”
