Information for those attending the Community Diagnostic Centre

09 August 2024

Patients may now receive an invitation to have a scan at the new Community Diagnostic Centre on the James Paget hospital site.

This is a new building on the north side of our site – to the right of the main hospital building if you are standing in the front car park looking towards the hospital – behind the Louise Hamilton Centre. Please see the map here for guidance or watch our video below to see how to get there.

The Centre will offer Ultrasound, X-ray, CT and MR scanning and is open between 8am and 8pm for X-ray and 8.30am and 8.30pm for all other areas.

If you or someone you know has an appointment here, please note that there is a drop-off zone right outside, and several spaces for disabled parking, but that for parking during an appointment you will need to use one of our public car parks.

The entrance doors to the Centre are in the glass windowed section at the front corner of the building.

Signage is being put in place to help signpost to the new building but please share this with anyone who may need to attend the centre.

The map shows the car parks at the front of our hospital at the bottom (east) side of the map - the new building is on the right hand side of the map. Please ask for directions if you need them, one of our staff will be able to assist.
