The James Paget is hosting an Open Day event on Saturday 29 June 2024 between 11am and 3pm.
The Open Day will be a fun event for all ages, and will provide the opportunity to tour some of the departments and areas around the hospital, and find out how services run from the inside.
The event will also be an opportunity for people to see the latest on the James Paget’s plans for a new hospital on its site, and to give their views on what is important to them.
The event will run from the Burrage Centre at the rear of the hospital site, with a range of interactive stalls and refreshments available. The Norfolk and Waveney ‘Wellbeing on Wheels’ bus will also be in attendance, offering information and support from local services and organisations.
Jo Segasby, Chief Executive of the James Paget, said: “We’re looking back to the brilliant summer events our hospital has held over its history, and are very excited to host our first Open Day for a number of years.”
“The day will be a unique chance for all the family to find out about how our services work, and the brilliant work our staff provide in caring for our patients, as well as find out more about our vision for a new hospital in the future.”
Guided tours will be provided around the hospital’s Pharmacy, Maternity, Theatres, CT, MRI, and X-ray departments, as well as our Paediatrics Cove Clinic, Education and Training Centre, and Therapies department, between 11.30am and 1.30pm.
Tours can be booked on arrival at the event, and all tours will begin at the Burrage Centre. The numbers of people per tour will be limited to ensure safe access around the hospital site.
Cakes and refreshments will be available for purchase during the event, with donations also being welcomed towards the James Paget Hospital Charity Robot Appeal, raising money to purchase a surgical robot for the hospital.
Anyone attending the Open Day between 11am and 3pm can park for no charge at Car Park E, accessible to the rear of the hospital site, opposite the Education and Training Centre.
