Palliative care conference

03 May 2024

The James Paget will be hosting a live streaming of the 35th Norfolk Palliative Care Conference, being held at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, on Wednesday, 8th May, as part of events to mark Dying Matters Awareness Week.

The free event - being held in the Lecture Theatre of the Burrage Centre, at the back of the James Paget site, between 9am and 4.30pm – is open to all and will also feature a number of stalls providing information about local services and support.

This is an all-day event to hear all the speakers, but you can just drop in at any point if you wish to and stay for as long as you like.

The day will be themed around ‘Getting your house in order – hope for the best, plan for the rest’ and will include end of life care, what you do and don’t want, and things to think about, like who would speak for you and what matters most to you.

Whether you work in health or care locally, or are a carer, volunteer or a member of the public who has an interest in palliative care you are welcome to attend. Our palliative care team will be on hand to answer any questions and you’ll be able to talk to a variety of charities and organisations with stands at the day.

For further information and to book your place please contact the James Paget Palliative Care Team on 01493 452804.
