We’d like to say a big thank you to the Great Yarmouth branch of energy provider Equinor UK Ltd who have generously donated two large whiteboards they no longer needed to our hospital.
Following a donation of items in April, the company offered the two large 6ft by 4ft whiteboards to our hospital if teams would like them.
The kind offer was accepted by our Cancer Care Navigator team and the therapies team on Ward 12, our Older People’s Medicine ward, and the boards were dropped off on Tuesday, 21 May.
The white boards will now be put to good use to help with planning and keeping track of patient objectives on Ward 12, where around 40 patients may be receiving therapy support at any time, and to assist with the Navigator’s organisation of events and activities.
Equinor have a key role in energy security in the UK. They are currently at the forefront of wind power innovation, developing the world’s largest offshore wind farm Dogger Bank, and the Great Yarmouth office, based at South Denes, is where Equinor carry out the operations and maintenance of the Sheringham Shoal and Dudgeon wind farms.
On Tuesday Wind Turbine Engineer Jonathan Jarmey and Tanya Stedman, Administrative Coordinator at Equinor UK Ltd in Great Yarmouth, brought the huge boards into the hospital where they were gratefully received by Lyndsey from our Cancer Care Navigators and Abbi and her colleagues from Ward 12.
We’d like to thank Jonathan - pictured here with Lyndsey and the Ward 12 therapists - Tanya and all at Equinor for thinking of our hospital and for your generosity in donating these ‘good as new’ items which are really useful to our teams.
