Today is Pharmacy Technician Day and we’re celebrating our team of Pharmacy Technicians and their contribution they make to patients using their medications safely and effectively.
Pharmacy Technicians are qualified healthcare professionals who are registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
What Qualifications do I need to become a Pharmacy Technician?
- You will need 4 GCSE’s grade 4 or above or equivalent in English, Maths, Science and one other
What is involved in the training?
- A two-year apprenticeship undertaking The Certificate in Higher Education in Pharmacy Technician Practice.
- This is a course provided by the UEA whilst employed by the workplace. You will work through a curriculum with the UEA and be supported in the workplace learning the role.
- You will be provided with a workplace Educational Supervisor who will support you in the workplace alongside your designated UEA tutor.
